Create, modify and maintain CAD drawing files and relative supporting documents compliant to the client's CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system, provide individual contributor site support for identified CAD functions and Drawing Management services. Works alongside Site Engineering, Facility Managers, Project Managers, Space & Occupancy Planners and other departments as required.
Job Description
Creation and maintenance of 2D AutoCAD architectural/civil blueprints, including Electrical, HVAC, Process & Utility Piping and Plumbing
Maintains document and change management standards, including the as-built library for the facilities engineering department and tracking file sign out and check-in of all plans to ensure accuracy and current status of documents
Reviews incoming drawings and ensures compliance to CAD standards, including line weights, colors, use of blocks and other relative features prior to file check-ins
Completes polylining for area measurements based on the BOMA Standard Method for Measuring Floor Area in Office Buildings
Works with internal and external customers and/or vendors as required in order to create or modify detail prints and incorporate into master files
In person Facility and site review/audit to ensure print accuracy
Distributes electronic or paper copies of drawings as required, or upon request
Work Experience and Competencies:
Requires one to three years of experience
Requires a moderate AutoCAD skill set related to civil/architectural systems, drawings and standards
Understanding and adherence of Environmental, Health and Safety processes and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and general database functionality
Familiar with BOMA Standard method
Good communication skills
Highly organized and skilled with time management
Education/Experience/Training:
High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school
