The Export Coordinator is responsible for liaising between customers, vendors, and transport companies to ensure an efficient operational service is provided. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
Job Description
ExPORT COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and facilitate the communication between consignee/consignor and logistics providers.
Issue and submit documentation to ensure proper exportation of client shipments. Using product HTS codes, ECCN classification, DOT/IATA regulations, and Export permits when required.
Pack/label shipments according to the regulations governed by DOT and IATA.
Facilitate scheduling and booking of LTL, FTL, and small package shipments.
Prepare BOL for local freight carriers.
Maintain shipment records for performance.
Respond to customer requests for service within prescribe timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School or GED equivalent
Bachelor's Degree is encouraged but not required
Minimum of 2+ years' experience in an office environment
2+ years in an Export position
2+ years in the Logistics or Shipping Industry
2+ years in IATA & DOT experience
Global Supply Chain knowledge helpful
Freight Forwarding and/or NVOCC experience is encouraged but not required.
Export permit experience is encouraged but not required.
