Our work isn’t done at handover. We take great pride in maintaining relationships with past clients and being there for them when they need us. The task of a Service & Renovation Lead is to foster these connections through the care of our past projects. You’ll steward houses and client relationships that go back decades. You’ll juggle schedule, budget, client expectations, and labor availability across a portfolio of concurrent mid-scale renovations. The bulk of your time will be spent communicating/coordinating.
Complete detailed construction and renovation tasks
Coordinate trade partners and carpenters to seamlessly integrate larger renovation projects into existing properties
Assess the condition of existing buildings and building components, and the opportunities / challenges of repair
Prioritize and balance schedule, budget, client expectations, and labor availability across a portfolio of concurrent jobs
Use a variety of mobile, cloud-based communication tools
Act as a reliable, capable, and supportive member of the team
Mastery of all Carpenter skills described in the SMC Carpenter Manual (See Appendix B of Operating Policies below)
Five years relevant work experience
Substantial experience with renovation
Expertise in reading and understanding construction documents
Construction Supervisors License (or willingness to pursue)
US citizenship or a US work permit (also called an employment authorization document or EAD)
Fluency in written and spoken English
