Overview: Entegris is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Counsel (“Counsel”) for its Billerica, MA location to play a strategic role in the growth and protection of the company’s IP assets. Serving as the primary IP Counsel for the Company’s Microcontamination Control business unit, the Counsel will prepare and implement global IP strategy, manage the global IP portfolio, draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, and provide IP litigation management, support, and strategy. Counsel may also have the opportunity to manage the Company’s trademark portfolio. Counsel will report to the VP, Deputy General Counsel & Chief Intellectual Property Counsel.

Experience: The successful candidate will have a B.S. degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry; other engineering and/or science-related disciplines may be considered with significant relevant experience, as well as a minimum of six (6) years’ experience as a patent attorney, including at least two (2) years in an in-house corporate legal department.
Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of patent protection concepts and practices, and have experience with a broad range of IP matters, including patent preparation and prosecution, IP strategy, IP docket management, clearance opinions, IP transactions, and counseling clients on IP-related matters. Demonstrated experience reflecting strong client service, project management, problem solving, and negotiation abilities are essential, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
